2023 Love & Terroir "Melville Vineyard" Chardonnay

$45.00

Introducing our inaugural vintage of Chardonnay, crafted from Wente clone vines planted in 1985. Grown in a cool pocket of sandy vineyards, our grapes are gently buffeted by ocean winds, resulting in a wine of exceptional purity and elegance.

Named after the small chapel nestled among the vines, our Chardonnay is a true expression of its terroir. Fermented in neutral barrels with native yeast and no malolactic fermentation, it showcases a classic, crisp style of Chardonnay.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast

“The nose on this bottling starts in very delicate ways and then grows more warm with lemon cake, honeysuckle and macadamia nut aromas. The palate is similar, starting softly then growing more tense and brisk with lemon and lime flavors that roll into an apple flesh finish.” — Matt Kettmann
